Our Teaching Artists and Staff are involved in a wide range of professional projects outside of their work with Upstream Arts. Each month, we post opportunities to see their performances, exhibitions, and other events around the Twin Cities and beyond. Click on the links below to learn more.
Sarah Brown is performing in Family Funeral at HUGE Theater every Saturday night in July at 8pm. “Family Funeral is an improvised…..comedy. Because we all have been there, or will be.”
Tena May Gallivan is assisting her husband, the great “Wally o’ Wonka,” in creating some ice cream arts! Wally is roaming the streets, parties, and other events all summer with his Leprechaun’s Dreamcycle, sharing ice cream, music, balloons, and other treats.
Rachel Jendrzejewski is spending the first week of July on a retreat with fellow playwrights Virginia Grise and Karen Cellini, thanks to a travel grant from the Network of Ensemble Theaters. She’s also writing a collection of Fluxus-inspired performance scores commissioned by the Walker Art Center, to be launched on the Walker Open Field on July 31 from 5-6:30pm.
