Join Upstream Arts, a non-profit arts organization, in collaboration with Artistry, for The Art of Voice and Choice training, which takes an arts-based approach to teaching the core concepts of Person Centered Planning and Informed Choice. This training is designed for persons served, direct support professionals, parents, residential providers, stakeholders, employers and community members.

WHAT
Art of Voice and Choice – discussion of Person Centered Planning and Informed Choice
Person Centered Planning and Informed Choice are inclusive practices at the center of the Olmstead Plan, as well as other new Federal legislation, designed to inform individuals with disabilities of all of their options for living and working, and to place individuals with disabilities in control of their own choices.

To achieve authentic inclusion of individuals with disabilities in all aspects of community life, families, employers, staff and ALL community members need to understand these practices, and how best to support the voice and choice of individuals with disabilities.
