Over the next week, we’ll be sharing some sneak peeks at the live auction packages that will be available at The Art of We: Are Family, our 4th Annual Community Celebration and Fundraiser on May 18th! First up is the Epicurean Arts package. “Epicurean” means “having luxurious tastes or habits, especially in eating and drinking” – and indeed, the winner of this package will enjoy an array of unique opportunities to eat, drink, and be merry at several Twin Cities hot spots.
This package includes:
1) Growler, Glassware, and Drink Tokens from Eastlake Craft Brewery
Eastlake Craft Brewery exists to serve “die-hard beer fans,” offering outstanding craftsman-brewed ales and lagers in a cozy corner of the bustling Midtown Global Market. Grab food from the vast array of nearby vendors and bring it into the taproom (perhaps during one of the brewery’s popular weekly events), or fill up a growler and enjoy your beverage of choice in the comfort of your own home.
2) Tour of Twin Spirits Distillery, including 3 samples each and souvenir shot glasses, for 4 people
Twin Spirits Distillery is one of the newest hubs to join the local distillery scene. It’s the passion project of Michelle Winchester, whose curiosity for flavor and spirit of adventure led her to create the first solely woman-owned distillery in Minnesota. Twin Spirits Distillery uses the “grain-to-glass” approach, drawing on local ingredients and original recipes – and offers a specialty moonshine each month on the full moon!
3) Tour of Wander North Distillery, including Cocktails, for 8 People
Wander North Distillery is an artful small-batch distillery in Northeast Minneapolis that uses locally-sourced ingredients to craft high-quality spirits. Founded in 2013, Wander North is the first veteran-owned distillery in Minnesota! Last year, Mpls.St.Paul Magazine named Wander North as 1 of 10 Best of Local Drinking: Distilleries and Cocktail Rooms, citing it among “the places defining how we drink now.”
4) W.A. Frost & Company Six-Course Chef’s Tasting Menu, with Wine Pairings, for 4 People
W.A Frost & Company has been serving award-winning, contemporary American cuisine in a turn-of-the-century setting on Historic Cathedral Hill in St. Paul since 1975. The restaurant has been extensively recognized for both dining and wine from authorities like Gourmet Magazine, Wine Enthusiast Magazine, Minnesota Monthly, Zagat, and Where the Locals Eat (Best Restaurants in America), among others.
