Teaching Artist and Participant during an Upstream Arts program

Upstream Arts Teaching Artist and Participant during a program

We are thrilled to offer classes in three locations in the Twin Cities Metro that are open to the public. The Art of Social Skills is an interdisciplinary arts class for adults with disabilities that uses the arts to build social emotional and communication skills needed in school, work, and life. Upstream Arts teaching artists—all local, professional artists—lead interactive activities in visual arts, theater, poetry, music, and dance that nurture self-expression, interaction, and collaboration. Participants will learn the fundamentals of multiple disciplines from some of the most accomplished professional artists, actors and musicians in the Twin Cities. Upstream Arts has 11+ years of expertise in providing classes designed for and accessible to individuals with disabilities. If you are regularly supported by a 1:1 aide/PCA, please bring an aide/PCA to class sessions. ASL and other accommodations provided.

Act. WRITE. dance. PAINT. sing. IMAGINE. create. SOCIALIZE. experience. Learn.
